2019 Jeep Wrangler vs 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Serving Georgetown, TX

Now that the 2019 Jeep Wrangler is here, adventure lovers have even more choices. Either way, you’ll find an icon with modern sensibilities. The new Wrangler has earned the nod from Motor Trend as SUV of the Year. While it’s different, it has much in common with its predecessor.

Performance

Both models have a 285-horsepower engine and a variety of four-wheel drivetrain choices. Drivers can harness all the torque they need when taking the trail, even if they are crawling over tough terrain. For 2019, Jeep introduces a new choice, a high-powered turbo-four engine. It reduces fuel use by 38 percent, but the output is 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Jeep updates the manual and switches the automatic for a new eight-speed in 2019 models.

Appearance

The 2018 and 2019 won’t look too different to the average observer, and that’s a good thing. Wranglers are known for their personalities. About a dozen colors, including throwback shades of green and yellow, are on the menu for these Jeeps. The Sahara dresses up more while the Rubicon has bigger axles and more off-roading equipment. With either Jeep, there are soft top and hardtop choices. The most significant new 2019 feature is the Sky One-Touch Softop. You can have an open-air experience without putting the top down.

Features

The 2018 has many smart features for off-roading such as a waterproof push-button start button and easy-rinse flooring. It is also sophisticated with high-quality materials and top dash technologies. Top models have leather seats and a leather-clad dash. Shoppers can choose between a 7-inch or 8.4-inch dash screen with UConnect, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The 2019 adds favorite safety technologies such as a forward collision warning, a blind-spot monitor, and a rear cross-traffic monitor.
