When you’re planning for an off-road adventure, nothing gets you where you’re going like the Jeep Wrangler. The 2020 Wrangler has been updated with features you won’t find on the 2019 model, but both SUVs are serious about rugged performance. To learn a little more about how these two models stack up, check out our comparison guide.
Both the 2019 and 2020 Jeep Wrangler come standard with the same powertrain, a 3.6-liter V6 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. If you prefer, you can upgrade to the eight-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler’s base V6 engine supplies plenty of power, with 285 horses and 260 pound-feet of torque. Both Wranglers offer an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, too, which delivers the line’s best EPA ratings – up to 24 mpg combined.
On the 2020 Jeep Wrangler, the Sahara Unlimited trim offers an engine you won’t find anywhere else. This new V6 mild hybrid supplies an impressive balance of off-road-ready power and modern fuel economy. This engine option is the one big difference between the new Wrangler and last year’s model, which doesn’t offer this sporty new powertrain.
The Jeep Wrangler has long been an icon of the American off-road. Although Jeep has updated this SUV throughout its many model years, every Wrangler is easy to recognize. Its high stance gives you an excellent view of rugged terrain. And the Wrangler’s trademark removable doors and windshield add a little extra sportiness to your adventures. When you line the 2019 Wrangler alongside the 2020 Wrangler, you’ll be hard-pressed to tell the difference between them. But that’s the idea. You don’t mess with greatness.
Both the 2019 and 2020 Jeep Wrangler are available in two different body styles: the classic two-door Wrangler and the four-door Wrangler Unlimited. The latter offers improved access to rear seats, but it’s also a bit bigger than the two-door model, giving you a little extra legroom inside. The Wrangler Unlimited is an excellent choice for families on the go.
Shoppers also much choose between five Wrangler trim models: the Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Moab, and Rubicon. Each offers an increasing range of off-road performance gear, interior comforts, and modern conveniences.
Unlike in previous Wranglers, both the 2019 and 2020 Unlimited models come standard with air conditioning. And there’s more good news: these days, you can make your Wrangler as classy as you want, thanks to options like leather upholstery and heated seats. Jeep’s Uconnect infotainment system is excellent, supplying everything from navigation to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
We know you’ll love these Jeep Wranglers as much as we do. This iconic American SUV offers everything from best-in-class off-road performance to cushy leather upholstery. There’s nothing else quite like it. Visit us at Mac Haik Dodge Chrysler Jeep to test-drive the 2019 and 2020 Jeep Wrangler and experience everything this SUV has to offer in person.
